Thankfully, I didn't need to do that and am satisfied that I have a device that works with Verizon. This suggests to me that the whole "incompatible device" line from Verizon is malarkey and frankly a scam and a sham!īefore I sent the device back to Netgear, I was going to investigate getting the device to work under either TMobile or AT&T. I don't know how that is working, but it is working. Lo and behold, the damn thing is working now! In fact, I am getting 5G speeds from the device with my older SIM card. So, on a lark, I pulled the SIM card from that device and stuck it in the M6 Pro. I am paying for Verizon service with an older MiFi 8800L device that stopped working. How could putting in an older SIM card in this new 5G device work if Verizon was telling me that their software said my device was "incompatible"?Įventually I realized that I did, in fact, have such a device. I initially ignored their advice because I didn't think it made sense. I did end of calling Tech Support from Netgear and their advice was to pull a SIM card from another device and stick it in the M6 Pro. The new 5G SIM card that I received from Verizon I could never get working. I guess I should have provided an update.
